CLOSURE ALERT: After careful consideration, we are closing the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center to the public in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and protect our employees. This closure will begin March 11 and includes the visitor's centor, the cancelation of educational programs and scheduled tours of the exhibit areas.

Prompted by regional health concerns, Vendor access to the NCAR Wyoming Supercomputing Center will allow access to Vendor’s on a case by case basis. Vendors- please contact your current NWSC Management representative for the updated procedures to enter the facility. If you are unsure of your current management representative or for further information and assistance, please contact the NWSC Security Desk at 307-996-4311.

Mathematical models are tools to describe Earth’s parts, patterns and systems like weather and climate. Using these models to understand and predict how the systems will behave requires some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world, just like the kind we have here at the NWSC.
